The form of TAPER was born from experiments of handmolding FRP.

The basic form is tapered well and makes it easier to be released from the mold. The ribs are along the edge of TAPER and keep the body strong. The inside surface has texture of glass fiber in contrast with the outside one is mirrored.

These details make it easier to mold plastics. However, designers often avoid to adopt them in their works or hide them as possible as they can. Through the experiment of handmolding FRP, I got attracted in the correlation between this kind of "not designed" details and their functions. I tried to adopt the details as positive design.
